About Ellen
I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in the central Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, working across murals, illustration, and custom artwork.
My work is rooted in connection, whether that’s helping a business create a more inviting space, capturing the personality of someone’s pet, or bringing visibility to organizations that matter to the community.
With a background in graphic design and digital communications, I approach each project with an emphasis on both form and function – thinking not just about how something looks, but how it feels and how people experience it.

Creativity has also played an important role in my personal life. After going through a period of alcohol addiction and getting sober, art became a steady and grounding force for me. It gave me a way to process, rebuild, and stay connected to something meaningful.
That experience continues to shape how I approach my work – with more intention, patience, and appreciation for the process itself. No matter the size or medium, my goal is always to create something thoughtful and engaging.
Vanlife
A few years ago, I began living in my van and traveling across the country, eventually spending time in Colorado. That experience gave me the chance to step outside of routine, explore new landscapes, and reconnect with what I wanted both creatively and personally.
I’m currently based in Waynesboro, Virginia – at least for now, before I eventually find my way back out west.
That experience continues to shape how I see the world and approach my work – slowing down, paying attention to small details, and creating with a stronger sense of intention. It also deepened my appreciation for community and the kinds of spaces that bring people together, which is something I carry into my projects today.
